Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. We store your chosen username and the date your account was created.

Waitlist information. If you joined our waitlist, we stored the email address and username you submitted at that time.

Usage data. We may collect information about how you interact with the platform — pages visited, matches watched, and features used — to improve the product.

Cookies and session tokens. We use session cookies to keep you signed in. These are strictly necessary for authentication and are not used for advertising.

2. How We Use Your Information

• —To operate, maintain, and improve the platform

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may process your data:

• —Google OAuth: For authentication. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
• —Convex: Our backend database and hosting provider.
• —Loops: For transactional email delivery.
• —Vercel: For hosting and serving the web application.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Waitlist entries are retained indefinitely unless you request deletion. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

5. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. You may also have the right to object to or restrict certain processing, or to data portability.

6. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and secure session management. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children

Qella is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of Qella after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
